Patio Covers in Hallsville

The page (read October 8, 2026) is the City Secretary's page, and its menu lists the four titles above beside Bidding Notices, City Ordinances, Elections and Open Records. Its department list names Code Enforcement and the Planning & Zoning Commission. We did not read the documents behind the titles, so we do not say what the ordinance requires or whether a patio cover is covered.

The page does not mention patio covers, so what follows is our inference, not a rule: a document titled 2015 Building Code Ordinance is, by its title, an ordinance of 2015, while Longview's page lists later editions, so someone planning a patio cover near the line between the two has a reason to ask the office of the city the lot is in which document applies. We say nothing about any lot.
